Well comic endorsements really don’t get better than this!

Met Gail at Thoughtbubble in 2011, and she was incredibly friendly and lovely, and amazingly remembered my comic having seen me tweet about it and ask for help.

To know that she enjoyed the comic when she’s been such an inspiration has really made my day!

And hey, if any of you guys have been holding off on buying The Pride, is this recommendation enough to get on it :-)

Little late for Cosplayers Appreciation Day, but I was gathering all I have of the frankly amazing cosplayers I have seen.

Cosplayers are awesome! They are an amazing part of our subculture!

Actually, I can’t possibly get them all in one post, so prepare yourselves for round 2!

If You Are Openly LGBTQ And You Make Comics…

gailsimone:

Or know someone great who is and does, I would appreciate hearing from you. Just a short bio on your work, and a link, if you have one, would be lovely.

It’s for something cool, but I don’t want to give away too much yet, while we are still in the very early stages. No one will be solicited or anything like that, no lists are being made up for any reason, just trying to get a good sense of who is making comics that is lgbtq. Webcomics, mini-comics, whatever, it’s all good.

Thanks!

I dunno why, but I can never reply on Gail Simone’s posts. So I’m hoping if I reblog it she’ll see this.

My name is Joe Glass, and I write an LGBTQ superhero team comic called The Pride, which so far has seen an Early Edition release of the first issue. The publisher, Deadstar Publishing, will be starting the series in the new year.

This is my first comic being released, and my previous published work includes magazine articles for Gay Times (GT) in the UK, including an article I interviewed you for on Gays in Comics.

The Pride is written by myself, featuring art by Gavin Mitchell, Kris Carter, Kris Anka, Ryan Cody, Cory Smith, Jack Lawrence and many more.
