So, there’s a (very brief) review of The Pride #1 and #2 on this blog, picked up at the Bristol Comics Expo.
I really disagree with what the reviewer says about the comics, but hey, I’m all about honesty and forthrightness. More reviews tofollow!
Comments that I particularly disagree with: FabMan being a ‘camp parody’…nope, he’s a camp MAN. Just because someone is camp doesn’t make them a parody or less worth being seen in any medium. Frost is never called ‘the Headmistress’ in the whole comic, and is clearly noted as being called Frost. White Trash is out in the sense that if someone asked him ‘are you gay?’ he’d say, ‘yes’. He just doesn’t run around with it plastered on his shirt.
Comments I agree with: Muscle Mary not having very deep characterisation…yes, to some extent. We’re only two issues in and she hasn’t had the chance to come to the forefront yet. Later issues of The Pride she really get’s a chance to shine. With any project like this, with such a large cast of characters, it takes some time to give everyone some time in the sun. But they’re moments will come :)

Well comic endorsements really don’t get better than this!
Met Gail at Thoughtbubble in 2011, and she was incredibly friendly and lovely, and amazingly remembered my comic having seen me tweet about it and ask for help.
To know that she enjoyed the comic when she’s been such an inspiration has really made my day!
And hey, if any of you guys have been holding off on buying The Pride, is this recommendation enough to get on it :-)

The loooong awaited Blood Blokes #3 is released TODAY after a successful debut at Toronto Comic Arts Festival last weekend.
The latest issue of Adam Cadwell’s slacker vampire comedy is now available in both print and digital editions from the Great Beast store.
Issue 3 features 26 pages of story and back-up illustrations by Tula Lotay, Josceline Fenton, Priscilla Tramontano and Sammy Borras.
We’ve got all 3 copies in at Travelling Man Manchester and I just read the new issue, HIGHLY recommended!

UPDATE
We’re looking into including Digital Copies into the online store, due to a high level of demand. These will be much cheaper, available in PDF, and maybe CBR and CBZ formats too. We’ll notify as soon as they go live.
In the meantime, print copies of the comic, including the first two issues of The Pride and the first issue of The Pride Adventures, are available here.
Issue 3 is currently being worked on by Dan Harris, and it looks great, a good quarter of the way through.
Issue 4 is being drawn by Hector Barrios and he’s handing in some amazing work.
Issue 5 is over halfway done by a series of incredible artists.
The Pride Adventures #2 has started production too, and I’ve seen some great art for that one too. More on that to come!
So there’s never been a better time to get in on this great series, and sharing it with your friends!
